Planet Ice Skating School

Learn basic through advanced skating skills in our Planet Ice Skating School.  Our program is based on the Ice Skating Institute’s (ISI) Instructional and Recreational Ice Skater Test Programs that are used worldwide.  The programs have accepted standards and provide achievable objectives with immediate results.  Your initial skating level and class placement will be based upon your abilities when first entering the program, and your advancement through the sixteen levels of curriculum will be determined by established standards of performance for all maneuvers at all levels.  Advancement is based upon individualized evaluations, so you can learn at your own pace.  Attractive certificates, medals and trophies are awarded at various levels to acknowledge and encourage progress.

CLASSES ARE 8 WEEKS LONG AND RUN CONCURRENTLY

PRICE IS $99 per session with an $89 EARLY BIRD SPECIAL available (dates to be announced for each separate class)

EACH STUDENT RECEIVES 8 FREE PUBLIC SKATING SESSIONS.

Here is what you receive for your registration into our skating school:

·         A 30-minute lesson with a rated professional

·         A 30-minute optional practice time, either before or after your lesson

·         Free rental skates for nine sessions (a $27.00 value)

·         Eight FREE passes to Public Skating sessions with free rental skates included (a $72.00 value)    

·         A  FREE “Bring a Friend” party is offered to all participants and their friends at the conclusion of the session with a FREE beginner lesson for everyone new to ice skating

 Ages:  4 thought Adult

Times:  Thursday 12:45-1:45pm or 5:55-6:55 pm, Friday 2:15-3:15 pm and Saturday 10:40-11:40 am

Levels: Tot 1-4, New Skater, Pre-Alpha, Mid-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta

Fee:        Prerequisites: None

The cost of the program is $99.00.  Sessions run for nine weeks, continually throughout the year.

Helpful tips:

  • Please arrive 20 minutes prior to class to allow plenty of time to get skates on and get organized.
  • Wear comfortable layers with long sleeves and water repellent pants, (snow pants recommended for tiny tots), gloves or mittens.
  • Helmets are required (bike helmet accepted)
  • Figure skates are recommended, hockey skates are acceptable, NO double runners.
  • Rental skates are available in our pro shop for a small fee.

Skate with Me

 Planet Ice has a Skate with Me Skating Program. Our preschool mid-day skating program will start your child on the road to a healthy active lifestyle. Meeting new friends, developing independence, and increased self confidence and agility are just a few of the opportunities your child will have with our... limited class size. It’s a great chance for Mom, Dad, or other care giver to brush up or learn new skating skills too
